Oral Health Scholars

Katherine Leopold (top left)
The program’s first Oral Health Disparities Program Scholar, Katherine is a member of Georgetown University’s Class of 2018 pursuing Justice & Peace Studies. She has assisted in development of the oral health resource directory and has completed her thesis on the role of Health Ministries in Faith Based Organizations and Oral Health Advocacy. 

Maggie Wu (top center)
A student of the University of Pennsylvania, Maggie served in our office as a Cancer Research Training Award Fellow from the National Cancer Institute. Her research project focused on assessment of HPV Vaccination Coverage in states with and without school-entry federal mandates.

Max Ackerman (top right)
A student of the University of Illinois at Chicago, Max Ackerman served in our office as a Cancer Research Training Award Fellow from the National Cancer Institute. His research project focused on oral health literacy and public health outreach.
